NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Hundreds of men from Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. are in town this week for their 79th South Central Province Council Meeting—but before the main event kicks off, they’re making a meaningful impact in the community.

On Wednesday morning, fraternity members partnered with Metro Nashville police, attorneys, and local leaders to host their Learn to Live initiative at McGavock High School, educating nearly 300 students on how to safely handle traffic stops.

The South Central Province (SCP) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is responsible for overseeing chapters in Tennessee, northern Mississippi, and Kentucky, the home state of our late founder, Elder Watson Diggs. The SCP played a key role in the fraternity's national partnership with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, TN.
